Visa and LINE Pay have teamed up to promote electronic payments

Visa and instant messaging app LINE announced a strategic partnership to provide a new financial services experience to millions of consumers and businesses around the world.

The partnership includes a number of areas, including 187 million Line users who can apply for an electronic Visa card from Line, or who can add an existing Visa card to the APP. LINE Pay users can use its features at Visa’s 54 million merchants around the world, and enjoy LINE Pay’s benefits and services.



For the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, Visa & Line pay will launch exclusive marketing campaigns and offers to facilitate Japan’s accelerated move towards a cashless society in the lead-up to the Olympic Games and after the games.
