Samsung pay enters the Indonesian market Support for QR code payment

Samsung Pay has now officially entered the Indonesian market and supports QR code payment.

The app comes preinstalled on its latest smartphones, the Galaxy A30 and Galaxy A50, and can also be downloaded from Samsung’s android 9.0 operating system via the Google Play store or the Galaxy store.

Samsung says Samsung Pay will be able to tap into Indonesia’s existing payment system and work with DANA.

DANA is an e-wallet launched by ant financial and Indonesia’s Emtek group. Currently, all Indonesian users of Samsung Pay must have a DANA account.

Samsung pay now has access to 24 markets, and in Southeast Asia it covers Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand.
