The government of Singapore has appointed NETS, Singapore’s largest cashless payment provider, as the unified electronic payment operator for dining centres, including coffee shops, hawker centres and industrial canteens.
NET Unified Terminal System will be able to accept 20 types of cashless payment options ranging from mobile payment applications to EZ-Link cards.
The merchant will use the designated payment terminal to swipe the card checkout and a QR code of SGQR to accept and process transactions from 20 different payment methods.
The first 10 payment co-operation plans will be launched by the end of this year. Including American Express, Cepas Card, Ez-link transport card, Liquid pay, MasterCard, NET, NETS Flashpay, UnionPay International, Visa and WeChat payment.
