UAE consumers increasingly favor digital payments 82% to show trust in e-wallets

According to the Gulf Times Khaleej, a joint survey of UAE consumers by Visa card and the Dubai Economic Development Authority (DED) shows that more and more consumers prefer digital means of payment.





84% of UAE respondents said it was safer to pay by credit card; 73% of online shoppers said they were more likely to pay by card; 87% said the number of online card payments had increased over the past two years; 82% per cent said they trusted e-wallets; 75% per cent trusted contactless swiping; and 92% Respondents said they would be more willing to choose to swipe rather than cash delivery if merchants offered POS machine payments at the time of courier delivery.
