In May of this year, Alibaba’s logistics platform rookie network announced the first batch of six world-class digital trading hubs (eHub) in the world, including the Belgian city of Liège, which also became the first eWTP eHub in Europe and China.

At the meeting, Belgian officials said they would actively support alibaba and newbies in building a super eHub in liege.

In the future, Chinese goods will arrive in the European market through Japan, and European goods will also be shipped to China through Liège.

Alibaba also plans to expand its routes from Europe to the americas.

Jack Ma stressed that this partnership would give Europe’s small businesses a huge opportunity to expand, and he said that this was the first eWTP partner in Europe, and it was hoped that through both efforts, it would allow the e-commerce, digital economy to benefit Belgium and Europe, and to help more small businesses and young people.

According to the rookie platform, nearly 2 million packages are in circulation between China and Belgium. 95% of Belgian companies are small and medium-sized enterprises that need to enter the broader Chinese market and global market through eHub. This is an important channel to enhance the competitiveness of the Belgian economy.
