Bitpanda is licensed as an Austrian payment service provider

Austrian retail encryption Bitpanda trading platform, announced that it has received payment service provider operating license.

The payment and services derivatives 2(PSD2) licence is issued by the Austrian market regulator, the Austrian financial markets authority (FMA), and allows Bitpanda to provide services in the European economic area (EEA) and the European Union.






Formerly known as Coinimal, the company was founded in 2014 and has over the years become one of the leading cryptocurrency trading markets in Europe.

Last month, Bitpanda launched a feature called Bitpanda Savings that allows its customers to buy digital assets on a regular basis. The company believes the feature will help its customers build wealth through digital assets.
